"I want to thank you for the prompt response in shipping a replacement for my defective pet door motor. I received the overnight shipment this morning, and I immediately installed the new motor which is working perfectly.

As I mentioned in my phone call, we have three cats that live with us here at Barr Systems (software development company). The Solo Pet Door gives them full-time access to and from the suite where my office is located. We have it plugged into a battery backup in case of power failure when the office is not staffed. The cats enjoy their freedom to come and go on our 25 acre campus, and we are no longer bothered by the raccoons who had figured out how to defeat our old magnetically activated flapper door. From our security cameras we observed the raccoons trying unsuccessfully in the middle of the night to gain entrance via the Solo door. After several nights of attempts, they are no longer coming around.

I just had to write and let you know what an awesome product this door is. We have had ours a year and the door has operated without a hitch the entire time. Our dog, a teacup schnauzer, took to it the first day we had it installed. He was 2 pounds when he first used the door so your future customers needn’t worry about whether their pet may be too small to use the door. He is now 4 pounds and he scoots in and out like nobody’s business. The only issue we had, which was no fault of the door, was our cats got out once. We simply followed the instructions on the paperwork that came with the door and adjusted the timing. The cats have not “escaped” since then. We also painted it the same color as our walls so it blends in with our décor.

I have recommended this door to all of my friends and neighbors (who visit us just to watch Jackson go in and out of the door) and would highly recommend it to anyone that is sitting on the fence and can’t decide whether to take the plunge. It is worth every penny and gives both you and your pet a huge amount of independence.

When we remodeled in 2003, we hard-wired one of your larger automatic sensor doors through our back wall into our fenced in back yard. The dogs learned to use it in 30 seconds. They haven’t stopped since.

It ranks in the top 3 or 4 investments we have ever made, regardless of price or return. To us and the dogs, it’s priceless.

For some reason, the cats haven’t ever followed the dogs out . Haven’t figured that one out.

Over the years we have purchased two small solo automatic dog doors. The first we purchased about 7 years ago. The first dog door had been installed through an outside wall to our back yard. Your instructions were clear, and the finished work looked fantastic. The second automatic dog door we purchased was for aour log cabin. We installed the second dog door through the back door of our cabin, again your instructions were clear and we got this door installed quickly. We own 7 small dogs and two cats. All pets have very small magnets attached to thier collars, and all our pets are free to run in and out multiple times during the day and night. Our 9 pets have really put your solo dog doors through the tests over the years, and both automatic dog doors are still working as great as the day we installed them. Excellent product, I highly recommend. We are getting ready to build a small outdoor heated building for our dogs and will order our third solo dog door soon. Thank-you for providing a great product that is lasting for years and years under extreme heavy usage by our nine indoor pets! The pulley cable wore out in both our dog doors, but because of your easy access design we were able to replace the pulley cable in just a few minutes. Thank-you again for an awesome product.

I do know that people usually contact companies to complain. I want to do the reverse.

Several years ago, (maybe as long as 10 years ago?) I ordered one of your doors and you sent it to me here in England. It was a huge success with my dogs, straight away. Today, it stopped working and all it was is that the cord had worn down, which is hardly surprising as our 6 dogs have been using it incessantly for year after year after year, for approx 10 years. We changed the cord and all is well.

I must also praise you that when, a few years ago, I rang you with a problem, you immediately sent me a replacement motor. When I told you I had made a mistake and didn’t need a new motor after all, and I offered to pay for the motor you had sent me, you did not accept my payment.

I am very impressed with your pet doors and with your service.

I just wanted to let you know what a great product we think you have! We
had our pet door installed when we were building our house 5 years ago. We
have a 120lb Bernese Mountain Dog along with 2 other dogs and 2 cats so we
needed a way they could go in and out of the house without letting other
animals or even people in. The solo pet door is wonderful!

We ordered a pet door 3 years ago and installed it immediately. I'm sorry
this email took so long for me to write however I did want to write to tell
you how much we LOVE your product! We have a 160 lb Rottweiler who uses your
door with ease. I think he loves the freedom your door allows. I love your
door for so many reasons however the best example I can give follows:

On Christmas Morning last year (2009) our house was broken into. The
potential thief entered our house, met our Rottweiler (Petie), exited the
house and closed the door behind him. Can you imagine his face when he was
met in the yard by Petie? Thanks to your door our dog was able to quickly
exit, catch the potential thief and bite him. The blood trail the police
found was HUGE! I normally don't advocate for violence however in this
instance it makes me laugh. Sadly the intruder did get away however I am
sure he was hurting for a long time due to Petie.

The quality of your door is amazing. To date no problems and we have been
utilizing it for 3 years!

I just wanted to thank you for making this product! I am a nurse and sometimes end up working late or a second shift so there are days I may be gone from the house for many hours. Meanwhile, it gives me such peace of mind to know my dogs can get in and out of the house (I have a fenced-in backyard) as they need to while I'm gone! Even my beagle mix who has always been skeptical of passing through tight spaces has no trouble going through this door. It only took about a week of pretty easy training for him to get used to it! Now it is absolutely no problem! The cost of the door was absolutely worth it, THANK YOU!

I installed my Solo pet door two months ago and I absolutely love it!! Installation was very easy. My three dogs have a swing pet door at home and they got used to the solo door in about five minutes. The design of the unit with the pulley feed up and gravity drop is really neat. I love the fact the door will not pinch my poochies.

I have and will continue to recommend the Solo door to all the pet lovers I see.

I have had my dog door for 16 years and only now am I having to replace the top pulley. I think you are a genius to have invented these doors and, with 6 dogs, my life would be quite difficult without it. THANK YOU AGAIN! You may remember I actually have TWO of your doors.

I have just placed an order online for various bits and bobs. All I need for now is the pulley but I thought I would order little bits so that I have them when I need them one day. Can you send it just as soon as possible please?

Just ordered replacement magnets & thought I should tell you just how we feel about your product. I purchased a large door about 10 years ago. It has given flawless service & is still going strong. I have dogs from 16 to 125 pounds & they all just love to come & go as they please.
